Jammu & Kashmir is the most scenic state in India which is located on the foothills of the breathtaking snowcapped Himalayas, Karakoram, Hindu Kush, and Pir Panjal mountain ranges. Itinerary
Day 1: Jammu - Katra
On arrival at the Jammu Airport / Station, meet our representative who will help you with an assisted transfer to Katra, the base for Vaishno Devi Yatra. Upon arrival in Katra, check-into the hotel. Relax for some time before starting the trek for Vaishno Devi cave temple, proceed for visit the Vaishno Devi temple,which is one of the most renowned temple, devoted to Vaishno Devi, located at the distance of 14 kilometers away from Katra, at a height of 5200 feet. The main four points that you cross during the journey are Banganga, Adhkuwari, Saanjhi Chatt and finally the Bhawan or temple, the goddess here is symbolized in the form of three pindis. Post Darshan, trek back to Katra.
Day 2: Katra
Reach hotel at early morning from after Darshan. After freshen up, relax some time and have the delicious breakfast at hotel. The rest of the day is free at leisure or spend it as per one’s interest. You can explore the nearby market, test the local food and buy some local items. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.
Day 3: Katra - Srinagar
After an early breakfast, proceed to Srinagar by road. Srinagar is located at the distance of 264 kilometers away from Katra. Enjoy the lovely beauty of the nature engulfing Srinagar with magical charm and splendor. It is the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, lies in the Kashmir Valley, which is located on the banks of the Jhelum River, a tributary of the Indus. The city is well known for its gardens, lakes and houseboats. Arrive Srinagar in the evening, check-in at the hotel/houseboat. Overnight at hotel.
Day 4: Srinagar - Gulmarg - Srinagar
After breakfast proceed for full day trip to Gulmarg (known as the meadow of flowers), which is 112 kilometers away from Srinagar, located at the height of 2730. The town has one of the best ski slopes in the world and one of the highest golf courses in the world with 18 holes. You can also enjoy a view of Nanga Parbat if the weather permits. The view enroute from Tangmarg to Gulmarg is fascinating. A short trek up to Khilanmarg, which can be covered in about 3 hrs, is optional. The Gondola Lift Mountain rides is also available. Later, return to the hotel/houseboat for overnight stay.
Day 5: Srinagar - Pahalgam - Srinagar Sightseeing(Excursion Tour)
After breakfast, proceed for full day trip to Pahalgam. It is located at about 95 kilometers away from Srinagar, which occupies soaring mountains, glistening glaciers, gushing silvery streams of ice water and dense pine and cedar forests with soft whistling winds and revitalizing air. It is famously known as the Lidder valley, which forms the north-eastern corner of the Kashmir vale. The most beautiful of place in Pahalgam is the huge, undulating meadow of Baisaran, surrounded by thickly wooded forests of pine. Hajan, on the way to Chandanwari, is an idyllic spot for a picnic. Pahalgam is also associated with the annual Amarnath Yatra. Chandanwari, 16 kilometers from Pahalgam, is the starting point of the Yatra that takes place every year in the month of Sawan. En route visit the saffron fields. The must see attractions are such as Chandiwari, Aru Valley and Betaab Valley. The initiating point of Amarnath Yatra, Chandanwari is an extremely scenic picnic spot where you can also partake in sledge riding. One of the spectacular destination, Betaab Valley is known as a base camp site for trekking enthusiasts. Aru Valley is a stunning village, renowned for its peaceful surroundings, floral meadows and lakes. You can also indulge in rafting in Lidder River.
In the evening, return to Srinagar for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6: Srinagar - Sonmarg - Srinagar (Excursion Tour)
Post breakfast proceed for the excursion to Sonamarg ,it is located at about 100 Kilometers away from Srinagar. Sonmarg is also known as Meadows of Gold, it has sheer scenic splendor. The very way-a metaled road - snakes through massive mountains laden with forests and firs. After a breath - taking journey from Srinagar, come across Sindh meanders that are abounded with trout & Mahseer. Onwards the valley opens up to a meadow. Ponies can be hired for a trip up to Thajiwas glacier - a major attraction during the summer months, See Snowy Mountains against a cerulean sky against its backdrop.
In evening drive back to Srinagar for overnight stay in Houseboat.
Day 7: Srinagar - Departure
In morning after breakfast at your hotel you will be driven back to Srinagar Airport to board your connecting flight for the onward journey with Sweet and Happy Memories.
